Pcos is polycystic ovarian syndrome. We see many teen girls coming to clinic and saying we are suffering from Pcos. Before branding yourselves as pcos, know exactly what it means. It not a normal terminology, it is medical terminology. Anyone cannot be labeled pcos until 2 years after maturing as it is very common to have irregular menses for 2 years after maturity. Now having said that having irregular menses with multiple small cysts in both ovaries is polycystic ovaries and may be associated with gain. Pcos can run in families. Sedentary lifestyle, junk foods and lack of exercise can increase your tendency of Pcos severity.
