PGT-SR: Checking for Structural Chromosome Issues

For individuals with chromosomal rearrangements, where the genetic material is organised differently than usual, PGT-SR screens embryos for these structural imbalances. Such embryos are often non-viable and can be behind repeated miscarriages, so identifying and avoiding them at the embryo stage can make a meaningful difference.

ERA: Timing the Transfer Precisely

The Endometrial Receptivity Array (ERA) is a personalised test that pinpoints exactly when your uterine lining is most receptive to an embryo, the so-called window of implantation. For some patients, even a good-quality embryo fails to implant simply because the transfer happened a day or two outside this window; ERA helps us avoid that.

Who Should Consider Genetic Testing?

  • Couples who've had repeated implantation failure despite good-quality embryos, generally three or more failed transfers for women under 37, or two or more for women over 37
  • Patients with a structurally normal uterus and healthy endometrial thickness (6mm or less), where no obvious cause for failure is apparent
